Free Flights for Terrorist

(I drafted this a couple months ago and it came to the top of the heap this morning when several Brooklyn residence were arrested for trying to travel to Syria to fight with ISIS.  One of the government intel agencies suggested we should let these people go so the NSA can track them.)

The FBI currently spends a lot of time tracking, arresting and prosecuting people trying to get to the Mid-East and fight with terrorist groups.  If caught, tried, convicted and imprisoned, we bear the expense of keeping them locked up for a long time.

I think we should be offering them free flights.

Just put the information out on TV, radio, internet, Facebook and Twitter.  Have the terrorist wannabes report to Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.  There they will be photographed, fingerprinted, DNA obtained and a dental x-rays taken.  An in-depth interrogation will be conducted for possible intelligence info.  I guess we could also give them a free physical during which a GPS tracker could be inserted into their body.

It will be explained to the individuals that their US citizenship is being revoked and if they are ever found in the United States again, they will be imprisoned, forever.  Of course, after spending time in the paradise that is Syria, Iraq, Yemen, or ISIS-Land, why would they ever want to return?  If they try to return, they will be a lot easier to detect knowing who they are.  It would be more difficult for them to secretly return if our southern border wasn’t, by design, wide open.

Once a large enough group is assembled, they will be flown to the Mid-East on an Air Force C-130.  Why the C-130?   The C-130 is the most uncomfortable transport plane in use by the Air Force.  The web strap seats become uncomfortable ten minutes into the flight.  Since take-off and landing is the most dangerous part of any flight, the planes will not land in Syria or Iraq.  The terrorist wannabes will be air dropped into their country of choice.  I’m sure the 82nd Airborne Division has plenty of parachutes nearing the end of their service life they can spare.
