Registration Myth

Most people don’t realize that in States that have firearms registration, convicted felons aren’t required to register their weapons.  Since they are forbidden by law to possess firearms, registering them would be self-incrimination!  So the purpose of registration is………………what?  To help trace legally owned firearms used in crimes to the owner?  To prevent or solve crimes?  It doesn’t work.  Canada has recently repealed a gun registration law because after 14 years and a cost of $2.7 billion, it has never been credited with solving or preventing a single crime.  Read the story:

Canadian Gun Registration Law Repealed

So the next time a Gun Control enthusiast, Mom’s Demand Action member or Everytown for Gun Safety activist say’s we need gun registration to prevent/solve crimes, take it for what it’s worth, a myth.

Note:  I originally published this in February, but somehow over-wrote it with another article.
