If we give Hillary Clinton the benefit of the doubt and assume that there were no ulterior motives in using her personal email for State Department business, what does that tell us about her?
She believes in “Do as I say, not as I do”. While serving as Secretary of State and using personal email to conduct State Department business, she signed a State Department directive prohibiting employees from using personal email to conduct State Department business. Is this leadership?
She thinks she’s better than everyone else. If any other government employee maintained an email server in their basement containing government documents, they would probably be in a federal court explaining their actions. Hillary Clinton is offended that anyone is even talking about this. What happened to preventing even the appearance of impropriety?
She makes poor choices for advisors. Nobody knows everything, so you surround yourself with subject matter experts. Hillary made a poor choice of IT experts. Apparently they didn’t know you could run more than one email account off of a single electronic device. Or did they do exactly as instructed?
She believes she is special. If Hillary really believed that you would have to carry two devices to access two different email accounts, then she was okay with the other 2,721,000 government employees carrying two devices but it would be a burden for her.
What does it say about a person that can’t be bothered by having to deal with two separate email accounts? Do they think they are too important to be bothered by two accounts/devices or are they just lazy?
Are these traits we would want in the next leader of the United States? For someone who claims to support the common man, she sure places herself well above everyone else.
On the other hand, If Hillary set up the private email server to be able to control her official State Department email and delete items that would bring into question her leadership and decision-making abilities, then none of the above are true.
But you can teach an old dog new tricks. Hillary’s original reason for using a personal email account for government business was she didn’t want to carry two electronic devices, but admitted last month she now carries two electronic devices.
